Julie Price Grimshaw is an experienced education consultant specialising in school improvement, self-evaluation, teaching and learning, middle management and initial teacher training.
From 2001 to 2007, Julie served as Her Majesty’s Inspector with Ofsted, bringing substantial experience in the evaluation of educational quality and standards.
She subsequently worked as a Quality and Inspection Specialist with the Training and Development Agency for Schools, supporting providers of initial teacher training, and later worked as a lead additional inspector with Serco.
Julie has also held advisory and governance roles within major education trusts and has worked independently through JPG Education since 2007, supporting schools and education leaders primarily across the north of England.

Julie brings to Model Britain a practitioner’s understanding of what high-quality education looks like in practice, informed by experience spanning teaching, teacher education, inspection, school improvement and governance.
Her expertise complements Model Britain’s ambition to create learning experiences that are engaging for children while remaining credible and useful to schools, teachers and education leaders.
As a member of the Education Committee, Julie contributes particularly to educational quality, curriculum relevance, teacher engagement and the development of experiences that can support meaningful learning before, during and after a visit to Model Britain.
