Mark Jones is a senior figure in the UK visitor attractions and hospitality sector, bringing more than three decades of operational and executive leadership experience across some of the country’s most complex, high-volume destinations.

Mark Jones - Model Britain

Mark served as UK Operations Director for Center Parcs, where he oversaw three major forest resorts – Sherwood, Elveden and Longleat – with a combined turnover of £110 million and a workforce of more than 3,200 staff. During his tenure, he was responsible for large-scale guest operations, strategic planning, and service delivery across accommodation, leisure, retail, and family experiences.

He later became Operations Director at the Eden Project, one of the UK’s most significant educational and environmental attractions. There, he led operations across a £130 million facility, receiving substantial national and international attention, managing 388 staff and delivering high-quality visitor engagement in a uniquely complex environment.

Mark subsequently served as Managing Director of Wyboston Lakes, a 380-acre hospitality, training, and leisure resort. Under his leadership, the business expanded its reputation for excellence across conference, spa, and hotel operations, serving FTSE 100 companies, government departments, and major institutions.

Since 2019, Mark has been the Chairman of Pico Technology in St Neots, a significant worldwide exporter of British technology in oscilloscopes and data loggers.

Mark now brings his extensive expertise in visitor flow, operational strategy, and guest experience design to the Model Britain Advisory Board, supporting the creation of a landmark national attraction.
