Dame Alison Peacock DBE DL joins the Advisory Board of Model Britain

Model Britain, the forthcoming national miniature and cultural attraction celebrating the spirit, heritage and innovation of the United Kingdom, is proud to announce the appointment of Dame Alison Peacock DBE DL to its Advisory Board.

Dame Alison is Chief Executive of the Chartered College of Teaching and a leading voice in education reform and leadership. Her lifelong commitment to empowering teachers and fostering creativity in young learners will play a pivotal role in shaping Model Britain’s nationwide education and engagement programmes.

Dame Alison Peacock DBE DL said:
“Model Britain offers a unique opportunity to inspire curiosity, imagination and pride in our shared culture. I am honoured to join this visionary project, which brings learning to life through creativity, storytelling and engineering excellence. Together, we can create experiences that spark ambition in every child and celebrate the incredible talent found across Britain.”

Founded by Gary McCauley, Model Britain is a large-scale miniature world designed to showcase the best of British creativity, technology and design. The attraction will feature intricately detailed scenes spanning iconic landmarks, transport, landscapes, and historic moments, all brought to life through cutting-edge craftsmanship and storytelling.

As the project prepares for its soft opening in October 2028 to coincide with the 80th birthday of His Majesty King Charles III, Dame Alison’s appointment marks a major step in the development of Model Britain’s education, community and visitor-experience strategy.

The initiative has already drawn international attention through a planned Discovery Channel documentary series following its construction and opening.
