Model Britain Confirms Official Opening for October 2028

£45 Million Miniature World Attraction to Open to the Public in October 2028, with Official Inauguration on 14 November
Milton Keynes, UK – 14 August 2025 – Model Britain, the highly anticipated £45 million miniature world attraction, today announced its official opening date, aligning its grand inauguration with a historic national event: the 80th birthday of His Majesty King Charles III.
Located in the Home Counties, Model Britain will feature breathtakingly intricate miniature worlds that celebrate Britain’s landscapes, history, and engineering achievements. It will also serve as a unique educational hub with dedicated STEM programs for schools.
“This announcement marks the next great milestone in Model Britain’s journey,” said Gary McCauley, Founder and CEO of Model Britain. “From the very beginning, our vision has been to create not just an attraction, but a national cultural landmark – a place where families, schools, and visitors from around the world can experience the wonder of Britain in miniature. We are proud to confirm our opening timeline and look forward to welcoming our first guests in 2028.”
The project is already generating international interest, with a multi-part documentary series from the Discovery Channel currently in production. The series will chronicle the attraction’s construction and is scheduled to air globally in mid-2027. Model Britain is expected to create hundreds of jobs during construction and permanent roles after opening, delivering a significant cultural and economic impact.
