With over 15 years of experience in engineering, infrastructure and high-performance building systems, she brings deep technical insight and disciplined project execution to one of the UK’s most ambitious visitor attractions.

Sophia oversees all aspects of Model Britain’s facilities and mechanical systems, from large-scale electrical integrations and automation networks to HVAC, lighting and energy optimisation. Her focus is on creating a safe, efficient and resilient environment that supports millions of moving parts, thousands of miniature lights and trains, and thousands of daily visitors.
Prior to joining Model Britain, Sophia managed multi-million-pound engineering portfolios across transport hubs, mixed-use developments and cultural venues. Her approach combines precision and pragmatism with a clear understanding of guest experience and sustainability targets. She is skilled at coordinating cross-disciplinary teams, managing contractors and embedding long-term maintainability into every decision.

Sophia’s leadership ensures that Model Britain not only meets its technical ambitions but also operates with stability, efficiency and forward-thinking environmental design. She plays a critical role in turning the attraction’s imaginative vision into a real-world, high-performance facility built to last.
