Dame Alison Peacock DBE, DL is the Chief Executive of the Chartered College of Teaching and one of the UK’s most influential voices in education. Her distinguished career is defined by an unwavering commitment to excellence, equity, and creativity in learning, values that align closely with the mission of Model Britain.

A highly accomplished former headteacher, Dame Alison has championed research-informed teaching and played a leading role in shaping national education policy, particularly around curriculum design and professional development standards. Recognised for her outstanding contribution to public life and services to education, she was appointed Dame Commander of the Order of the British Empire (DBE) and Deputy Lieutenant (DL).
In her role on the Model Britain Advisory Board, Dame Alison provides strategic oversight of the attraction’s education programme, including curriculum alignment and the national school’s initiative. Her leadership ensures Model Britain inspires future generations through curiosity, imagination, and discovery, embedding learning at the heart of our national story.
